What it is

Atelier Kaz is our apparel label — heavyweight, considered streetwear designed in Jersey City and produced to order.

Atelier means workshop. The name is deliberate. Our founder spent close to a decade in architecture and technical drafting before designing a single garment, and that discipline carries over: measurements published on every product page, fabric weights stated in ounces, construction described honestly. Nothing is hidden behind a mood shot.

Every piece in the collection was chosen by the founder because it is what she actually wants to wear — not selected from a trend report, not pulled from a supplier catalogue because it was selling elsewhere. Clothes that feel comfortable. Clothes that let her be herself.

Not to prove a point to anyone. Not to become what people expect her to be. Not a boy, not a girl — just an individual who wants to wear something that makes her feel unique and shows who she really is.

That is who the label is for. Anyone with the same mindset, looking for a piece of clothing that brings them out and brings them to life.

Made to order

Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a buyer.

When an order is placed, that garment is produced for that person. It means no dead stock, no landfill at the end of a season, and no pressure to discount inventory that never sold.

It also means each piece is finished individually. Many of our garments are vintage, mineral, snow, or sun-fade washed, so shade, fade pattern, and texture vary slightly from one to the next. That is not a flaw in the process — it is the process, and it is why no two pieces are identical.

The collection

Heavyweight denim jackets, hoodies and fleece, sweatpants and joggers, jeans in straight, wide, and barrel cuts, tees from lightweight to 12 oz, and dresses — alongside footwear and accessories including tote bags, weekenders, backpacks, caps, and beanies.

Fabrics run from 5 oz cotton jersey to 16 oz denim. Every product page carries the fibre composition, fabric weight, fit, season, and a full size guide in inches, because a garment bought sight-unseen should not be a guess.

What we build against

Independent apparel is squeezed from both directions. Manufacturers want volume commitments a new label cannot make, and the platforms that do serve small brands hand you a supplier catalogue and a template and call it a business.

Atelier Kaz is the version that keeps the design decisions. Our own selection, our own specifications, our own descriptions, our own storefront.

Where it's going

Building the label into a recognised independent name, with a growing house-designed range, on-body photography shot in our own city, and eventually a physical presence — a space where the clothes exist offline as well as on.
